CyberHound is proud to support Principals Talk, an initiative from the Australian Principals Federation (APF). Principals Talk aims to give School Principals across Australia a strong, united and focused voice.
The APF has identified an opportunity and need to gather the opinion and insights of School Principal Class Officers across Australia on issues impacting their work in leading Australian schools. Until now it has been very difficult to engage Principals, Assistant/Deputy Principals and School Heads across the breadth of school sectors (Government, Catholic and independent schools).
We believe by having a national industrial voice School Principal Class Officers will be in a stronger position to negotiate individually and collectively on how their communities, governments and employers can support us to lead in an increasingly complex and demanding environment.
Through Principals Talk we aim to (a) provide research and opinion papers to stimulate discussion and gain feedback on issues of importance to the School Principal Class; and (b) give opportunities for the School Principal Class to initiate their issues of importance for their peers to share insights and opinions.
“The purpose of this exercise is to examine relevant, current research and to spotlight studies that reveal significant insight into the complex contexts and changing work practices of the school Principal, both in Primary and Secondary contexts in 2016 and beyond,” Dr Wendy Cahill OAM, Principal Work research paper author.
