CyberHound takes a bite out of American market

Recent data from the Cyberbullying Research Center shows that 34% of American students have experienced cyberbullying.

A leading Australian cybersecurity company is seeking to create safer places for students and staff by providing a unique solution that protects schools’ digital playgrounds.

CyberHound, a cybersecurity and learning enablement provider, is addressing the need for specialist education-focused cybersecurity by expanding into the North American market.

Heading up the expansion is Abi Vickram, recently appointed as Vice President of Sales – North America. Mr Vickram brings deep experience from his time with specialised information technology providers including Kerio Technologies and Axigen Messaging. However, he is no stranger to the organisation and product, having previously worked for CyberHound for a number of years.

CyberHound Chief Executive Officer John Fison said he was glad to have such an experienced operator who has been able to hit the ground running.

We’re excited to welcome Abi back to CyberHound, especially at a time of great need for innovative cybersecurity solutions in schools,” Mr Fison said.

“With the growing use of devices in schools, increased threats of data breaches and what seems like endless reports of the Internet being used as a weapon, schools need to seriously consider how they are protecting their digital playground.”

“Abi brings a great deal of experience and knowledge in this field, and is able to deliver cybersecurity solutions tailored for North American schools.”

Based in the San Francisco Bay area, Mr Vickram is enjoying meeting school leaders and introducing the unique education-focused technology CyberHound has developed.

“It’s great to be working with an industry leading cybersecurity solution,” Mr Vickram said.

While focusing on cybersecurity for schools, Mr Vickram will also be providing solutions from CyberHound parent company Superloop.
